The Varanjar, or known as barbarians as called by many people, are descendants of the varansul and also close relatives to the humans of the Thestra continent. While physically quite larger and stronger than most humans, their body features still are a lot similar to them in several ways.
It has been frequently said that around hundreds of years ago the Varanjar were themselves humans who fled from their brethren to live a more simple life in the mountainous areas in the eastern part of Thestra. While in terms of their physical presence, they may most closely resemble the human beings it is the lesser giants, with whom they share their home in the mountainous village of Halgarad in Falgarholm and the surrounding Highlands area, where they have found many things in common.
They both are habitually hard-working, strong and intrepid. They live their simple. lives close to the land and reside in a mostly tribal society. Due to their austerity, they always tend to lead a more tribal and wild lifestyle than all the urban dwellers of New Targonor & Leth Nurae.
