Just like in all other MMORPGs on the market, armor proves to be the most effective and effecient way to help protect players from getting massive amounts of damage during combat against all enemies in the game.
In Vanguard: Saga of Heroes by Sigil Games and Sony Online Entertainment, armor has been much sought after and popular among all races and classes in the vast world of Telon. In general, armor is equipped by player characters (PCs) to provide protection against damage they take or absorb in battle.
Its primary effect is to safeguard your player characters from taking too many tremendous quantities of damage which could extend to the point that you could die. It also has the secondary effect of giving an overall look or appearance to your player character.
In VoSH there are 3 basic categories of armor in total, including light, medium, and heavy. Some classes in vanguard: Saga of Heroes clearly stand above any other classes in terms of their armor availability. For example, the Warrior class tends to be the only class which has a very huge collection of great armor to choose from.
Armor can also be categorized into the widest types of usabilitiy and utility, such as cloth, leather, plate, Robe, chainmail, greaves, leggings, pants, headgear, bascinet, boots, bracers, gauntlets, gloves, pauldrons, gorget and shield
